I used this technique on my '05 Odyssey. It turns out the pin and the mechanism were fine, but the 2 Phillips screws holding the latch mechanism to the inside of the door were loose. Once the screws were tightened, the latch worked perfectly.

Had this happen in my truck last year, but the filter i used didnt have the metal mesh backing. Sucked the rat and his nest through the intake, and went into limp mode. Mechanic had to clean torn filter and rat parts out of the cylinders and valves, he said hes seen plenty of vehicles eaten by rats, but it was the first time he saw a rat eaten by a vehicle.

Can anyone please tell me if this Johnny Cash orange 8-track cartridge tape has the uncensored version of "A Boy Named Sue?" I have Johnny Cash white 8-track tape At San Quentin, but they bleep out the "s.o.b." which I think detracts from this song in my opinion. Just wondered if all of the 8-track tapes of this same album are censored as well. I enjoyed the Johnny Cash 8-track that I have, but I think I'd like better uncensored. This is why engineers should be managed by a mechanic..... Who at Chevy thought this was a good fucking design. You can get the arm wrest for 95 bucks but how much in time and labor is it going to cost you.... looks like several hours to me of my weekend. I can pick up the whole panel from ebay for 600.. seems a little high but then again.. This is why shit costs so much today... 3 fucking screws could have save 600 in labor.

My 2018 jeep compass trailhawk is currently having this same issue. It gets power but won’t turn over. I initially checked the big battery which was bad, bought a new one to THEN see this video. I’m going to grab an auxiliary battery today and see if this fixes the problem and gets me going again. Thank you!

Mine throws spark from the black case of the starter housing(replaced original), I now have no start and blew a 300amp fuse on my charging wire. I see no shorts do I have a bad relay because I took out the original starter it smells like smoke and I'm wondering if the relay is maybe stuck open but the original starter still good so I think I'm going to put it back

Thanks for the information although i found it a little too late after totally shedding to Allen key hole. We were below two sets of Rapids, 25 miles from the nearest road and no internet service we made do with what we had. Two brains, five hands and a bucket of tools we managed to get the belt back on. My metal latch in the back depresses down and the lock itself is up and down but it still doesn’t open up for me. Pretty close to unscrewing the bottom hinges and twisting it until something pops lol
